Management Part 2

Part two

During this crisis of employment, if your lucky enough to get them, some of them, not all of them do carry a bunch of baggage with them. In the many years I have hired, fired, built relationships and even despised a few, but the last two years have been hard. This year I was blessed to have some employee’s come back this summer, which is awesome and not bitching about those at all. But if you get lucky to get new hires that just work, we envy you. But if your like us you have gotten some of the beautiful examples of modern society. In all of there brilliance and IQ. Let me tell you about two of them. Now hold on to your shorts man, these two I tell ya. 26 years old and cant handle a job where a 16 to 22 year old’s run fucking circles around them. They lasted a whole 5 days on the job then quitting by some weird excuse. Too many people was one of there reasons. Perhaps we have a lot in at once to get them trained. Try explaining that to these two. Absolutely, fucking, disgraceful. Walked out in the middle of shift, telling the manager they were going to make a phone call, waited about 45 minutes, texted me and quit, then left, didn’t even clock out. Actually sat there while we paid them, to think of a reason to quit. At least give an employer a chance to find a replacement or wait till end of shift. No wonder why they think that any job is hostile, because people like them make management, judge people, and prepare for people like that to walk out. It makes no sense.

I have disliked people like those two for so long that I am thinking that most if not all people will be like that. We provide a place to stay, great wage for the area, hell even a free meal daily. We hired these two from a larger city next to us, a little older than our regular staff, but they seemed energetic and excited to work. We put them up in the housing and five days later they fuck us. To them it must be acceptable behavior, but to us, this cost money to train you, it cost money to take this guy from what he knows, to you, to teach you how to do this. Everything cost fucking money. Not only that but if you put yourself out on the job market be prepared for a job that you don’t feel comfortable in at first, new people, new environment, and new things will always make people stressed or nervous. Stop bitching for a moment and have a clear head to be present and listen. Be ready to learn. Oh and for future cases when you quit a job, there is a difference in quitting and been let go or fired. If your quitting please be professional and give at least 1 week notice. 2 weeks is the norm. Don’t tell your employers how to do there job, I promise you, they know how to do it. And don’t tell them that you expect to be paid in full when you have lived in a house owned by the company that you quit, where you didn’t sign papers, or make a deposit. Be mindful of things that may explode your massive ego, like cleaning fees, company uniforms, and other expenses. That will be deduced from your last check at said company. Now if fired the rules change a bit, you would be getting your check within 24 hours of termination, and we both go our own ways. If you quit you get paid the same fucking day the rest of us get paid.

As for the rest of our slowly growing flock of hires, I have great expectations for this group, besides the two above, these kids are learning and gaining momentum everyday, and It will be a awesome experience to watch them grow into apart of the workforce. Even if it is just a summer we will have an opportunity to help develop skills and build confidence, so at their next place of employment they will be more comfortable in knowing that they can handle situations in a better way. Several of our employees from the past are now making into the six figures a year now, seeing them from time to time they always seem to say, “Thank You”, or at least hit you with ,”Remember that?”. And then you realize why you stay at the company.
