Is this just strange? Or is it just me? This mayor of the wonderful, Windy City, Chicago, Lori Lightfoot has stated that she will only take one on one interviews from colored people. I would say that this is completely uncalled for, considering that we are all working to equality, correct? Is this racist? I probably shouldn’t be pondering this since Chi Town is quite a distance away from me. But when I think of Chicago, I think of Barack Obama, the Bulls, maybe a little Mike Ditka, The William Fridge Perry, and that one governor that sold a seat to the senate. But never thought that over the last year, with all the shit that has happened to us as a country. With the riots, the shooting victims, and covid, would I see that a black mayor of an awesome city, would destroy the fragile line between acceptance and hate. That is in no way how a politician should act nor, get away with. If Nancy Pelosi, got up and said that she would only take interviews from white journalist, what do you think would happen? Fucking bullets in the streets would happen, if not, then crazy riots would spark all over, if you think that the 1919 Chicago riot was deadly, this would dwarf anything that we have seen in the past.
There is a place and time for everything but, she pretty much just said that she hates what all non colored people think and speak about. Dear lord please have love and tolerance for this very disturbed lady, I’m quite sure that she had some white voters, or people with some sort of positions that she needs to talk to is white. What is she going to do when she comes up for re-election? Bury her head and back track. Fuck no, no politician ever apologizes unless they get caught, or she just wanted to wreck her political future.
If we as Americans want to get away from all this racists shit, we need to look past the color. We all bleed red, we all have hearts, we all have that one fucked up person, that for whatever reason was different than you, that made you think the whole race is fucked up like that. But that is wrong and deep down everyone of us fucking knows it. I don’t care what color or where your from disrespect is disrespect, and when you disrespect someone you feel a little bit of you, die. If you don’t feel it, then something may be wrong with you and not everyone else, ever think of that. It’s 2021 and we still fight and argue over all this stupid shit, want it to stop? Then stop bringing shit up that opens scar’s whether physical or mental. Katt Williams one of my favorite comedians says “Take that least off your damn children people, no wonder when they grow up, there shooting in the schools and shit.” I know I paraphrased the quote but you get the idea. Stop holding all the shit in and communicate like a fucking adults and talk that shit out. I don’t know much of Mrs. Littlefoot’s past and I don’t think I will do much research, but if this is the future leaders of the USA then my family and I are fucking out.
Racism will go away when we all stop holding on to the past. We are human. Right? last time I checked. Kobi and Jordan, Mickelson and Palmer, Obama and Powell, Armstrong and Aldrin, Williams and Bolt. What do all these names have in common? Well each one represents something and a type of profession. You may notice that they are grouped in a way that shows their race. But as you go down the list you could find a different paring with different races. Example what about this duo, Malone and Stockton? if you don’t know who these two are, they are a black man and a white man that played professional basketball for a number of years. They were a hard to stop duo when they worked together, but when one was out of the picture the other one didn’t do so well on the court. Why was this? They were both great players. But one complimented the others playing style and they dominated when they clicked. This isn’t by chance, or a pairing by god, it’s because they played the game and respected each other.
I live in a small town and maybe this hasn’t flooded over to my neck of the woods yet, but, I was raised to be kind and have respect for anyone, no matter skin color. But if that PERSON white, black or any shade, disrespected you or your family you told them to kick rocks and peace out. We don’t have time for this fighting, don’t you know this? Besides the more time we bicker amongst ourselves, we open the door for more divide and hate. Close the fucking door already, and set shit aside so when our kids grow up they will be truly free, and able to roam from town to town, not worried about what part of the country, race or background he or she is, to make a go at living. Again common sense people.
